Starting out

Through these web pages I will give you an insight into what it is like to develop such a gift as psychic art. Believe me, it is not easy. You do have to be of stern stuff to walk the smooth and rough way of this path. If you are developing mediumship as I was, then you are developing just that but if you are developing mediumship and the drawing of spirit peoples portraits, then it becomes tricky. This is because you are trying to balance two ways of communication as one. Its like listening to someone on the telephone and read a book at the same time. It can be done but it needs a lot of practise.

In the beginning

It all began in March 2002 when a psychic artist came to give a demonstration at Stockport Christian Spiritualist Church which is the church I go to. When the service was over I asked his wife if I could have a look at the example of his work which was shown earlier. She agreed and I was hooked. I spent nearly an hour with the artist and his wife talking about the subject explaining that although I had no formal art training, one of my interests was painting in oils and sketching, particularly faces. From then on I drew faces....more faces and yet more faces as I was advised to do. My first efforts were comical as you can see from this picture here. He looks as though he's going to explode doesn't he, with those big bulging eyes All my portraits at this time had this squeezed look about them.I couldn't seem to get away form this look but gradually I did learn to get the proportions right. Click on to these thumbnail pictures to see some more of my early efforts.
