Developing my gift

This was the difficult bit. I was already in a meditation and music group at my church so I began to develop my drawing there. Fortunately, the leader of the group and also president of the church gave me the necessary support to further my development. I started to draw on a little pad of cartridge paper, no bigger than a postcard because a the time I didn't have the confdidence to draw anything bigger. But after a while, I did gravitate to A4 size, and yes I was still drawing bulging eyed people. After a short while, the president gave me permission practice my drawing during church services which was great help, because it gave me more opportunities to draw in a spiritual atmosphere

This, of course, gave rise to curiosity on the congregations part. There was always someone nearby who would look over my shoulder to see what I was doing and would explain to them what it was all about. Sometimes, its nice to do something thats a bit different. These days, though, the people at the church have got used to me now and just accept it as a normal demonstration of mediumship.

It hasn't been an easy path to take, though. At times I could cheerfuly throw my pencils and paper onto a bonfire and watch the lot go up in flames but spirit, true to form, have always ignored me and have patiently waited untill I've calmed down. Alright, they give me a week or two of not drawing and then something or someone has made me go back to the grindstone. Besides, if I wasn't meant to to psychic art then spirit wouldn't have let me continue with it for the past three years I've been developing the gift.

As time has passed, I've that more and more people are recognising the people in my drawings, although not all of them - yet. The responses I get fall into roughly three catagories.:-

  1. Yes, it's my Mother-Father-Uncle, my Mothers great aunts second cousin twice removed who we don't talk about (you get the picture - bad joke).

  2. The face is familiar but I can't remember where from.

  3. I don't know who this person is.

I can deal with number 2 although it can be tricky because the information I give with the picture usually helps identify the portrait, which can swing it into catagory 1, hopefully, or it can swing it into catagory 3, not so hopefully, with the comment that they thought it was so-and so but now not so sure. In that case I would give the information I have with the drawing and hope, when they get home, they recognise who it is.

This happened to a lady who didn't recognise the drawing I gave her and couldn't take the information with it. A week later she came to me and told me that the portrait was of her father and she brought a photograph of him to prove it. She very kindly photocopied the both items for me and now I have evidence that my portraits are from spirit. If you would like to see the drawing and the photograph together, click onto the ' photo/drawings' link on the left.

There have been many other times that continue to prove that spirit are working with me. Ive had drawings accepted that had drawn at home and then brought into church. When they were drawn I felt that they weren't for anyone in church at the time but a week later the same drawing had lights around the head so I knew that the recipient was in church, which proved correct, and it was accepted. Another time, I had drawn three portraits, the second was a youngish woman and the third an older woman. I had just finished the third portrait when I heard, clairaudiently and loudly, the words " there is a love link". I then knew that the women in the second and third drawings were related, in fact, Mother and Daughter who had passes with a short time of each other. I was to give these two drawing to someone in church which made me a bit nervous because I'd not done that before. But, trusting in spirit, I gave both drawings to a Lady who was able to accept them and the information that came with them.
